Hello Radio Leaders!

I know many of us are returning to work after summer projects or breaks 
(and many of us wish we were!), and we're overdue for catching up. I'm 
eager to hear news of you and your youth radio groups.   Are you 
working with a new group of youth producers?  Any grants or awards?  
Calls for mentors?  Collaborations?  Signal, the Generation PRX 
newsletter, is coming out in two short weeks, and we'd love to include 
information on what you've got going on.  Let us know and we'll pass on 
the good word.

As always, things are abuzz at PRX.  Some past and future highlights:

* Youth-produced work on PRX is at nearly 300 pieces!  There have been 
wonderful additions this summer, and some powerfully positive reviews.
* In September we're headed to PRPD where I'll be taking part in a 
panel on "Ensuring Diversity in your Local Programming" and encouraging 
program directors to broadcast youth work.  We make our annual Chicago 
trip in October for Third Coast Festival.  We hope see you there!
* Next Generation from NPR joined PRX this summer; you can check out 
the large volume of new work from older youth and college-age producers 
at http://prx.org/group/nextgen.
* In the spring the national show Living on Earth licensed a 
youth-produced piece from the Appalachian Media Institute through 
Generation PRX - hooray for AMI!

Finally, a reminder to UPLOAD your latest (or earliest) works so that 
we can listen, review, and be inspired...
