[youthradioleaders] equipment question

We at Radio Rootz are using MDs, but like Kaari, we are having trouble
finding them here in NYC.  We have one Marantz CF recorder which is
great, except its of course expensive.  Also, we had some bad
experiences buying minidisc recorders on eBay - we got some that were
"refurbished" but not listed as such, and they wound up crapping out
on us mid-way through the school-year.
