[youthradioleaders] Introducing Kiera & Relaunching YouthCast

Hello Youth-Made Radio-ites!

Meet Kiera Feldman.  A native of Portland, Oregon, and member of KBOO 
Youth Collective and Brown Student Radio, Kiera can be found producing 
radio features and skits when she's not biking all over Providence 
(http://prx.org/user/kfeldman).  Best of all, Kiera will be hosting and 
blogging YouthCast, the Generation PRX podcast through alt.NPR, when it 
relaunches on February 21st.   YouthCast will still feature the latest 
from youth radio producers in the Generation PRX network, but you'll 
also be able to hear, see and read more about the pieces as well as 
discover news and events in the audio world.

Kiera knocked our socks off with an application that included not only 
a podcast, but a blog full of photos, an interview with the producer, 
questions for listening/discussion and even instructions on how to tie 
a human knot...   Next week she'll be sending out our very first 
YOUTHCAST SURVEY to get your input and ideas on what, exactly, makes a 
good podcast and blog.   Keep an eye out for individual emails; Kiera 
will also be contacting producers and leaders for interviews, 
permission to podcast and other piece-related questions.
