Dear Producers, Teachers, and Fans of Youth-Made Radio,

We're launching a new collaborative radio special, and we want to
hear from YOU. Together with New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) and
Terrascope Youth Radio, Generation PRX is asking youth producers to
contribute stories to "A Day in the Life... Teens & the Environment,"
an hour-long special that looks at how the choices you make every day
affect the world around you.

Everyone's talking about the environment, but do our individual
decisions matter? We want to hear about a choice you make during one
part of your day - from what you eat and what you wear, to where you
go and how you get there - and how that choice shapes the world at
large.

Think locally, and consider the question: How does my choice affect
where I live? Or think globally, and consider the question: How does
my choice affect where others live?

Do you have a story about the impact your choices make? Are you
working on a related story? Please make sure stories are uploaded to
PRX.org by June 15th, 2009. Then send an email with a link to the
piece to freelance producer Kelly Horan, kelly.horan at mac.com, or give
her a call at 617.259.7113. If you already have appropriate work on
PRX, be sure to let Kelly know.

The final program will be hosted by teens from Terrascope Youth
Radio, and will broadcast on NHPR and throughout the public radio
world via PRX. Details are attached. To see some examples of past
radio specials, check out Getting Raised and Our Time - all made
possible by the fantastic work of youth producers on Generation PRX!

Look forward to hearing from you,

Jones
