[youthradioleaders] Fresh Greens 2.0: Send Your Stories!

Hello youth radio world!

New Hampshire Public Radio, Generation PRX and Terrascope Youth Radio  
are teaming up again to create our second Fresh Greens radio special.   
We're inviting youth producers everywhere to contribute stories on  
things they find surprisingly green...or disappointingly not.

While some things trumpet their green credentials (hybrid cars,  
compostable spoons), others really don't seem green at all (that old  
clunker that's still on the road), but whether it's green washing or  
an assumption, we want to know:  What's truly green, and what's just  
posing as environmentally friendly?  And what doesn't seem eco at  
all...but actually is?

Consider what you buy and where you work, as well as your habits,  
friends and neighborhoods, and tell us:  What's unexpectedly green?

Early bird submissions due August 30th, 2010.

Fresh Greens 2.0 will broadcast in time for Earth Day 2011.  Because  
we hope that summer youth radio programs will contribute, we’ve  
established a special early bird deadline - but everyone is welcome to  
send stories early!  Early submitters are eligible for pre-broadcast  
on NHPR's daily Word of Mouth program.  Groups whose pieces are chosen  
for inclusion in Fresh Greens 2.0 will receive $100 in gratitude for  
their work.  Details attached.
