The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston is looking for two interns for
the fall/spring for their Fast Forward teen video program and for their
Regional Youth Media Arts Educator Consortium (RYMAEC). If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact me - I worked with Joe, the
supervisor for both positions, for a few years and he's great.

Teen Video Art Program Intern
Fast Forward Program

The ICA is looking for an intern who is interested in helping support and
promote a teen video art program. This person would assist in the
development and production of the teens’ work, as well as assist in the
management of the equipment and the digital studio, a 13-station G5 Mac
lab.  This person would also assist with open lab sessions and
end-of-semester screenings.  Digital Video production and editing experience
is a plus but not required. Experience working with teenagers is preferred.

Schedule
Minimum of 8 hours
Thurs and/or Fri, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (some flexibility)
Full Year preferred (October – May)

The person will receive direct mentoring from the program coordinator in any
areas of particular interest, as well as in areas necessary for successful
execution of duties.  Evaluation for this internship will occur at the end
of the program.

RYMAEC (Teacher Consortium) Internship

The Boston Regional Youth Media Arts Educator Consortium (RYMAEC), funded
and coordinated by the ICA, is a group of youth media arts educators who
have been meeting regularly for 3 years to determine the best way to promote
the field, for both the professionals and the students.  This position would
assist with the following:
•    communicating with the advisory board
•    expanding our reach to a wider group of youth media educators
•    developing content for our 2 yearly gatherings
•    coordinating the New Work/Mentor Grant Program for teens
•    supporting an online moderated forum
•    updating the www.rymaec.org website as necessary

This is an expanding initiative and we are looking for someone who is ready
to help in the further development and refinement of this exciting project.

Schedule
Minimum of 8 hours
Wed, 10:30 – 6:30 PM (some flexibility)
Full Year preferred (October – May)
