RYMAEC events are designed to present and inform innovative middle school
and high school web and art classroom strategies. This year RYMAEC is

*SCRATCH Workshop for Educators , 1-5PM*
*$30 for Educators; Free for RYMAEC members (PDPs for Teachers)*
Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create interactive
stories, games and animations -- and share these creations on the web. As
young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important
mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think
creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.

This workshop is designed to expose its participants to the versatility and
creative potential of Scratch through examples, introductory exercises and
collaborative projects. Bring your own laptop and be prepared to download
Scratch for free. All levels of computer expertise are welcome. Scratch is
a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab. It is
available for free download at
