Teaching Tolerance has great resources, lesson plans and links:

Sounds like an ambitious but wonderful project. Good luck!

The organization Teen Empowerment in Boston published a book a few years
ago that provides some concrete exercises (games?) to help build strong
group dynamics and trust--while it isn't explicitly about diversity,
their model was designed in the context of a multi-ethnic youth
organization.

# For teachers and youth workers: Moving Beyond Icebreakers helps you
engage hard-to-reach youth and students of all ages, giving them
vehicles for participation that allow them to operate from a position of
strength.

# For social workers: Moving Beyond Icebreakers provides tools for group
building and individual growth -- creating bonds of trust, addressing
dysfunctional group dynamics, increasing group members' level of
reflection, and leading to change in the lives of the individuals you
are trying to reach.

# For organizers: Moving Beyond Icebreakers provides an approach that
can quickly build community, clarify difficult and complex issues,
invest group members in the mission, and help the group make decisions
and plan for effective action

Hi All-
What immediately comes to mind for me is the Rethinking Schools
organization which publishes a
quarterly magazine and books dealing with different issues that address
introducing young people
to social injustice issues: http://www.rethinkingschools.org. Although
geared for the public
school teacher- the activities they discuss can be easily adapted for a
variety of organizations
working with youth.
I'll look forward to hearing about more resources from the group.
Thanks for the discussion-
