Hi everyone,
Y-Press has recently finished a new series about youth (especially minority
youth) and their relationships with police.
We air the reporters pieces on our local public radio station. We had less
then stellar views from the news person at the station about these pieces.
In an effort to
keep improving I was hoping to see if you guys any feedback on these pieces.
I know everyone is probably pretty busy but I thought if you had the time
you might be able to offer some suggestions. What do you thinks works and
what needs improvement?
They can be found on PRX

I also thought it might be good to get a conversation going about airing
youth-produced work on
NPR affiliate stations. What sort of huddles are you running into? How do
you keep it youth-produced while still producing NPR quality work. I also
wonder if sometimes people in the news positions at the stations feel
uncomfortable with youth reporting on certain topics.
I am looking forward to hearing anyone else's thoughts, ideas and input.
Colleen
