[youthradioleaders] advice sought for Florida program

Hello from Miami, Florida. I'm trying to get a radio program off the ground here and am looking for advice.
The idea is to get news about a municipality onto their AM municipal radio station.
I've tried offering this as a workshop for a fee at a community center and also partnering with the municipality's Youth Advisory Council. It hasn't gone smoothly. Now there's an idea to offer it as a club or after school workshop directly at the schools because students have transportation issues getting to the community center. For this I have to create a proposal to the school.
I'm wondering if I can connect with Jones or anyone else out there who may have advice on how to make this work.
